EU calls for visa-free travel to Canada

The US is a dreamland for all developing nations and trouble torn nations in this big globe. Western Europeans can tour Canada visa-free but some of the newer eastern European nations are not so privileged. Big brother EU will now fight for the cause of the small brothers. From Canada to US are what many of us have-nots and the nouveau rich dream of. Canada does not need the eastern European population to populate its untrodden territories because that would invite more trouble than solve its human resource problem provided if it is facing any.

To force Canada to change its rule actually means compelling the US to review its immigration policies etc. The color of eastern Europeans may gel well with US whites but their regional intonations, accent etc. will ring louder in the ears of the whites who are already facing terrorist threats.
Whatever be the issue the US will have to face it and the reason is the wealth and freedom they offer. UK and US have been asylum for many leaders from the other part of the world when fanaticism took over in these not-so-rich, not-so-advanced nations. There are so many types of visas offered to enter these nations but the indigenous mind craves for global citizenship, that dollar, that freedom. The gambler in some of these souls yearn to visit the casinos, the introverts wish to gulp down drinks in pubs and ogle at attractive women and to enjoy their proximity which is not possible in this part of the eastern world.
The beaches in US attract more because all our neighbours cannot dream of landing there. Tourism in these countries is a status symbol. The clean air, the clean water, quality life which eludes us everyday is a reality. Perhaps tourist visa can give us the yearning souls to enjoy Thoreau’s woods which will always beckon us to the west.
