World's biggest tourism fiesta opens in Berlin

The ITB, world’s biggest tourism fair gave excellent news to travel agents on Wednesday. India will be the glare of publicity as it is the ‘partner country’ of this year. This year’s fete, scheduled from March 7-11, has made an incredible record of the number of companies participating from 184 nations, i.e. 11,000.
President of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) says,
Entries from the world over have gone above 20 % in the last three years to 842 million. And moreover, the organizations have produced an annual-ballpark-figure-rise of about 4%, which will be common.
The tourism minister Ambika Soni witnessed a splendid demonstration highlighting India’s rich and varied cultural diversity on the opening eve. Indian tourism officials will exhort Europeans to take advantage of the country’s tourism potential, at the fiesta. They will call everybody’s attention to the fact that India has notched up yearly growth rates of over 15 % in tourism zone in the last three years.
India will be endowed with one separate hall so as to display its thriving and promising tourism industry tagged along with hosting cultural events and serving with delectable Indian cuisines.
As per tour operators, religious and medical tourism bagged massive growth prospective. Operators indicated that India trails in good health behind leader Thailand as a famous Asian tourist destination.
For the meantime, the ITB has also slotted in an exhibition area for real estate and time-share sales to rich tourists for the first time.
UNWTO president Francesco Frangialli forewarned that a quicker elevation in tourist numbers might not turn up because of the escalating consciousness of ecological issues. Taking into account this subject matter, controllers have demanded specialists to visit the ITB and asked their opinion about the future-prospects of travel.
