Rwanda shines at the Berlin Internationale Tourismus Borse

The Berlin Internationale Tourismus Borse (ITB) that was held at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from the 7th to 11th of March saw Rwanda outshine the other African countries to win the title of the “Best Tourism Exhibitor”. The world’s leading show which is a matter of pride for the travel industry attracted a huge number of travel and tour companies looking out for good holiday package deals. The show was a huge success and for Rwanda which was participating for the 7th time and won the 2nd place last year it was a joyous occasion.
Rwanda defeated some of the top African countries like South Africa, Morocco, Tanzania, Ethiopia Kenya, Namibia and many other hot holiday destinations to reach the number one spot.Rwanda left no stones unturned in putting up a great show and the highlights included great dancers , a beautifully decorated stall which was evidence of the creativity and efforts of those who put in their heart and soul working for success at the exhibition. The handwoven traditional basket (Agaseke) which depicts the years of tradition and culture of Rwanda was a big hit. The great display and the marketing skills of the officials at the stand not only helped promote a great image of Rwanda but also won them a number of creditable business deals. Rwanda was felicitated with a trophy and a certificate. The ambassadors of Rwanda and its culture , who put up such a great show were welcomed with open arms and got a great reception on their return at the Kigali International Airport.
