WYSE survey reveals trends in young travelers

Are you curious about the latest trends in the traveling world? Wondering where and how young travelers travel? The survey conducted by World Youth Student Association Travel Conference(WYSE) gives us an idea of the latest trends in the young traveler’s world.
According to the latest report, most of the young travelers tend to travel outside their home country. I can totally relate to this part of the survey. Traveling outside the native country gives you a sense of adventure, which the young generation always craves for. The countries mostly visited by young travelers are India, China, Peru and Tanzania.

About 80% participants in the survey agreed that they conduct travel related search over the net. This comes in very handy. Even I do research online before visiting a place. Online hotel bookings and car rentals have increased lately. The rate of online booking has increased dramatically since 2002.
Expenditures on these international trips have gone up as well since 2002. These folks have been busy spending their cash on exotic items, drinks, tasty food and other aspects of tourism. The UNWTO and WYSE travel confederation will conduct a series of international seminars on traveling throughout the rest of this year and beyond. WYSE represents about 550 specialist youth travel organizations and about 118 countries.
